This storm over Avellanas was painted during the rain season of 2006 from the adjoining beach in Lagartillo. There was a strange stillness that day and an enormous amount of energy in the transition of the weather. The sun was out and shining light on the foreground of the scene as large clouds changed formation and approached from the other direction.
